  306. Installation

  308. The installation of Bridge Assistant involves
  309. extracting the zip-file BRIDGE.ZIP into a sub-
  310. directory on your hard disk. Unarchiving the zip-
  311. file will set up all the files required to run
  312. Bridge Assistant.
  313.      
  314. If you do not understand the paragraph above then
  315. you should carefully follow the instruction below
  316. and refer where necessary to your DOS manual.
  317.      
  318. 1.   Go to the DOS prompt.
  319.      
  320.      You should see a c:\> or something similar on
  321.      your screen.

  323. 2.   Make a sub-directory for Bridge Assistant on
  324.      your hard disk.

  346.      Running Bridge Assistant
  347.      
  348.      Bridge Assistant requires WINDOWS so before
  349.      attempting to run it you should start windows. There
  350.      are then several ways to run a program for which you
  351.      should refer to the WINDOWS USER GUIDE.
  352.      
  353.      One way to do it is to use PROGRAM MANAGER. Select
  354.      RUN from the FILE menu option. When the dialog box
  355.      appears type BRIDGE, you may have to type
  356.      C:\BRIDGE\BRIDGE if you haven't added the sub-
  357.      directory where you placed the program to your PATH
  358.      statement.

  360.      It is recommended that you add Bridge Assistant to a
  361.      PROGRAM MANAGER group. A good place to put it would
  362.      be in the GAMES group where you can find SOLITAIRE
  363.      and MINESWEEPER.
